A midnight movie sensation of the late 90s, Six-String Samurai is a wild blend of samurai film, spaghetti western, and post-apocalyptic road film, all mixed with a cool 1950's rockabilly vibe.
"The memories of making this film and its staying power, have always kept me in touch with that young, naive side of myself that knew anything is possible, because therein, in the exuberance and uncertainty and possibility, lies what will anchor any dream we may have that is worth making real." - Lance Mungia, director
"In the heady pre-social media days of 1998, this movie came out of the Slamdance festival with a huge buzz, ready to instantly be crowned with the title of cult classic. It did well enough, but the two intended sequels never materialized, nor did the career of its leading man, Jeffrey Falcon, who had appeared in several Hong Kong martial arts films. I have no idea why the buzz faded. This movie is completely bonkers." - Sam Panico, B&S About Movies
"Wildly original and highly entertaining." - Len Klady, Variety
