"An evocative, beautifully realized picture."—Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader

Meticulously adapted by Agnieszka Holland (Green Border, Europa Europa) from Frances Hodgson Burnett's seminal novel, The Secret Garden tells a story of hope and reconciliation for all. After her parents unexpectedly perish in an accident, young Mary Lennox is sent to live with her imposing uncle in his estate in Yorkshire. When she discovers her late aunt's walled-off garden, the garden becomes a refuge for Mary and her new friend Dickon, a servant boy. Together, they restore the garden and in the process strengthen the bonds of friends and family on the estate.
