Dialogue with director Chuko Esiri, moderated by Esé Emmanuel
Society woman Clarissa (Sophie Okonedo) is meticulously putting together all of the necessary preparations for a big party she's throwing in her lovely home in Lagos. But little does she know that the soiree will end up being a reunion with friends hasn't connected with in decades. As the group reflects on their shared past over the course of a single night, memories of their intricate relationships, passionate love, hidden desires, and lost aspirations give rise to bittersweet reckoning. Brothers Chuko and Arie Esiri took inspiration from their mother's life to craft this deft and elegant adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway.
