John Cameron Mitchell in person for post-screening Q&A
"Mitchell gives this post-punk, neo-glam rock extravaganza everything in his loaded arsenal of talents. He gets the sound right, the look right, the fun right and—this is crucial—the pain right."—Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

After falling in love with a U.S. Army sergeant, an East Berlin boy named Hansel undergoes a sex-change operation so that he can legally marry his beloved. But the operation is botched. Deserted in a Kansas trailer park, Hedwig, reinvents herself as a rock star in search of stardom and love.
John Cameron Mitchell is an actor, writer, and filmmaker.
