Hirayama is content with his simple life in Tokyo where he works as a toilet cleaner and tends to his myriad house plants. He follows a structured quotidian routine and dedicates his free time to his passion for music, books, trees, and photography. When his niece unexpectedly shows up at his apartment and throws him off his quiet rhythms, we begin to discover his deep inner life and layered past.
