Eugenie (Juliette Binoche) has worked for the famous gourmet Dodin (Benoît Magimel) for the last 20 years. Her prowess in the kitchen has grown to mythic status, confounding chefs around the world. As the mutual admiration between gourmand and cook blossoms into romance, Dodin decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her. Adapted from the 1924 book La vie et la Passion de Dodin-Bouffant, Gourmet by Marcel Rouff, Vietnamese-French auteur, Tran Anh Hung (The Scent of Green Papaya) delivers a sumptuous feast of romance and decadence.
