Mondays at FilmScene are Mindful, every showtime will have limited capacity, distanced seating, and masks required in accordance with our  Wellness Check guidelines.

Presented as part of the ReelAbilities Film Festival.

In collaboration with Combined Efforts, Humanities Iowa and Iowa Community Theatre with support from Community Collaborations presented by GreenState Credit Union.

Featuring a pre-screening performance by Combined Efforts, a post-screening panel with playwright Janet Schlapkohl, theatre director Shay Lilienthal, and videographer/director of the film Jake Daniels, and a postshow dessert reception.

When creative opportunities for performance for individuals with special needs were limited or non-existent, a small group of large-hearted volunteers were determined to do what it took to make dreams come true and create a lasting impact on the perception of disabilities for all stages. This film documents their work and those impacted by it.
