The latest from writer/director Mia Hansen-Løve (Bergman Island) follows Sandra (Léa Seydoux), a young mother who raises her daughter alone, pays regular visits to her sick father, who suffers from a neurodegenerative disease. While she and her family fight tooth and nail to get him the care he requires, Sandra reconnects with Clément, an old friend who has recently reentered her life. Despite his romantic unavailability, the two begin a passionate affair.
