A gripping and sensual tale of two women - a young Japanese woman living on a secluded estate, and a Korean woman who is hired to serve as her new handmaiden, but is secretly plotting with a conman to defraud her of a large inheritance. This ravishing crime drama was inspired by the novel Fingersmith by British author Sarah Waters. Park borrows the most dynamic elements of the source material to combine with his singular vision creating an unforgettable viewing experience.

A master of suspense who elegantly embraces violence while commenting on the systemic issues that lead to those acts.
