FilmScene invites girls, trans, and gender non-binary* youth ages 7 to 14 to our Spring Break Makers & Creators Film Camp! Taught by filmmaker Kelly Gallagher, camp is held daily from 8:30AM to 3:00PM, March 18 through 22, 2019.

*Gender-non binary means gender identities that are not exclusively masculine or feminine. Non-binary or genderqueer people may express a combination of masculinity or femininity, or neither, in their gender expression. FilmScene offers all gender camp sessions in the summer - registration opens in February for summer camp!

Camp includes hands-on learning with iPads and a wide range of materials (provided). Campers will watch the work of pioneering women animators and filmmakers and explore various animation styles and filmmaking techniques. Campers will work in teams to produce, direct, and edit their own films - totally from scratch. Snacks, lunch and t-shirt provided with tuition.

Camp concludes with a graduation ceremony and screening of final projects on Friday, March 22 at 3PM - family and friends invited, complimentary popcorn served!

Tuition: $300
$150 due at time of registration to secure participation, remaining balance due by or on the first day of camp. FilmScene aims to be an accessible space for those interested in participating. Partial scholarships offered on a case by case basis. Please contact rebecca@icfilmscene.org with your request.
