Psycho Ape!! Part 2: The Wrath of Kong (2024)
Directed by Addison Binek (Psycho Ape!) & Greg DeLiso (Hectic Knife)
Featuring: Kansas Bowling, Bill Weeden, Floyd Cashio

Director Addison Binek stays up late with us at FilmScream to present the sequel to the legendary Psycho Ape! Keep your eyes peeled, there’s never a Dole moment!

"This is one of those ‘check your brain at the door, grab a six pack, and strap yourself in for some laughs’ kind of movie." - Tim Gross, Gross Movie Reviews

"A brilliant bit of meta-filmmaking that twists in on itself like Thankskilling 3 on steroids." - Bobby LePire, Film Threat

"Psycho Ape! Part II not only takes a self-referential approach, but it goes as far into self-deprecating comedy as Gremlins 2: The New Batch." - Jason Burke, PopHorror

First, they went Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Then, King Kong Lived. This is also a sequel.

After being apprehended by police during a big banana heist (and, you know, all the murders in the first film), the Psycho Ape! is put on trial for his crimes.

This one features less gore, less nudity and more parodies of A Few Good Men!

Phantasm (1979)
Directed by Don Coscarelli (Bubba Ho-Tep)
Featuring: Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, A. Michael Baldwin

Enter the stunning and surreal world of Phantasm - where nothing is as it seems and every move you make could lead to a fate worse than death!

"As to the peculiar influences which sprouted the Phantasm film, I would have to say it is the same influence which drives all us humans, and that is the challenge and fear of death." - Don Coscarelli, director

"Some films are genuinely hard to classify. Take Phantasm - a rubber-reality teen adventure sci-fi horror film (eat your heart out Donnie Darko)." - Stephen Thrower, Nightmare USA: The Untold Story of the Exploitation Independents

"A unique and fascinating horror hit with more satisfying surprises that you could find in a dozen other recent offerings." - Michael J. Weldon, The Psychotronic Encyclopedia

"Parts of this pic weave a powerful primal spell." - The Phantom of the Movies

"The film that made the tall man and his silver spheres a cult hit." - Ken Kish, Video Wasteland: Rental, Reference and Review Guide

"A mix of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy, but it was pretty awesome." - Robin Bougie, Cinema Sewer

Like The Shining and Dawn of the Dead, Phantasm is a cerebral nightmare that we never want to end. Written, produced, directed, shot, and edited by Don Coscarelli when he was only 23-years-old, the movie follows a group of small-town friends as they battle the "Tall Man"—a mysterious force of cosmic horror who wields flying silver murderballs. This Lovecraftian vortex deftly combines gothic horror, surrealism, and a killer prog rock score into a concoction that horror fans have never stopped worshiping.
