"Tight, taut and not one beat out of place, Holy Spider captivates from start to finish."—Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, Alliance of Women Film Journalists

In this ripped from the headlines film, we follow Rahimi, an investigative journalist who is determined to bring justice to the victims of family man Saeed as he embarks on his own religious quest to "cleanse" the holy Iranian city of Mashhad of "immoral" and "corrupt" sex workers. As his kill count rises, he only becomes more emboldened and desperate for notoriety for his supposedly virtuous actions, and the women of the city—including Rahimi as she investigates the case—find themselves in increasingly greater peril.
